Green Pastures Forum is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving incarcerated individuals in federal and state prisons across Southern California. Our prison ministry provides consistent spiritual care, counseling, and rehabilitation support through weekly worship services, Bible studies, and life-skills counseling sessions. Recognizing the emotional and spiritual needs of inmates, we also organize special Thanksgiving and Christmas events to foster connection, hope, and community within the prison setting.
Our regular engagement in the prison system offers critical, rehabilitative resources that equip inmates with a foundation for personal growth, spiritual development, and improved well-being. We are seeking grant funding to expand these services, enhance our holiday programs, and meet the growing needs of the inmates we serve.
The prison population often suffers from high levels of isolation, trauma, and a lack of constructive support systems. This gap can result in continued cycles of despair, lack of direction, and high recidivism. Green Pastures Forum aims to bridge this gap through ongoing ministry, supportive counseling, and structured rehabilitation initiatives. Our work addresses essential emotional and spiritual needs that are often unmet in prison settings, helping inmates find purpose, community, and faith. The Thanksgiving and Christmas events are especially impactful, as they provide a rare opportunity for inmates to experience hope and joy during the holiday season.
